GERMAN WWI COLONIAL OR SEE BATALION BAYONET.
A very fine example of the Mauser 71/84 bayonet with excellent bright blade. To one side it has a panel with the Colonial style crown and ribbon with the Imperial style eagle below. On the reverse side a similar size panel with what appears to be two gothic letters F or K to the centre, this may represent the initials of the owner. The plating to the pommel, back strap and muzzle ring is thin in place. The wood grips are good, slightly discoloured, in its original leather scabbard, with its correct scabbard mounts all in nickel match to the bayonet.
