GERMAN WWII POLITICAL LEADERS BELT BUCKLE IN WHITE METAL.

This highly unusual Political Leaders buckle, which normally comes in gilt is described on page 164 of Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich by John R.Angolia as unidentified and/or possibly as a gilt buckle with the gilding faded. On close inspection of this example there is no evidence of this buckle ever being gilded and to exemplify this statement the loose keeper is matching marked to the buckle ‘RZM M4/24’. The first edition of Belt Buckles and Brocades was produced in 2001, in the interim period of 24 years new NSDAP regulations may have come to light identifying part of the organisations that the white Political Leaders buckle belonged to.
