GERMANY WEIMAR PERIOD ARMY BELT AND BUCKLE.

A scarce belt and buckle from when the army was known as the Reichwehr, the buckle in one piece stamped nickel, all pebbled finish, standard Gott Mit Uns scroll around the central Weimar period eagle. Fitted to the buckle is its original leather tab, which has faint remains of its makers mark with a date of 1934. All fitted to its original heavyweight combat leather belt, which is maker marked and dated 1936. We have never encountered one of these buckles before with its leather tab and dated correctly. The belt is 102cm long it is missing its leather adjuster tab and the twin holes for fitting of the buckle has been pierced contemporarily through the leather. The belt is also unit marked in the Reichswehr pattern 2/N.911.
