A postcard size image of the Reichsminister of Food and Agriculture Richard Walther Oskar Darre, born July 1895 died 5th September 1953, one of the leading Third Reich Blood and Honour ideologists and served as the Reichsminister of Food and Agriculture and was a high ranking member of the Nazi Party and as a senior group leader Obergruppenfuhrer of the SS. The signature is accompanied by a letter from the secretary of Walther Darre to one Kurt Busch dated ’16.3.1939’ where the secretary explains that enclosed with this letter is a signed picture of Richard Walther Darre. Darre was sentenced to 7 years in Landsberg Prison after WWII, released in 1950 and died September 1953. It should be remembered that the collecting of signatures of high level military and political leaders of the Third Reich was a highly collectible hobby within members of the Hitler Youth. The signature is slightly smudged at the lower right hand edge.
