GERMAN WWII ARMY INFANTRY NCO’S TROPICAL COMBAT TUNIC.

A highly interesting tunic constructed in the army colour of tropical cloth. Six button closed collar style, four patch pockets all with pleats with the lower edges of the two upper pockets cut at an angle similar to naval tunics. The cuff bases non adjustable, dark green collar, NCO’s lace to the crudely stitched down shoulder boards and universal grey on grey Bevo woven collar patches. The breast eagle is of the grey machine embroidered on green uniform cloth. To the interior a section of double sided, what appears to be zeltbahn material, used within the initial construction of the tunic for the upper back panel lining. The two uniform retaining hook straps to the interior are from naval tropical cloth, on pulling back the front flap of the tunic to the inside revealing the reverse side of the removable buttons the lining material is identical to the lining material used in naval tropical visor caps, to the lower inside skirt two hidden on pockets on the WWI style have been constructed, we can only presume this is a private purchase tunic constructed by reclaimed materials.
