GERMAN WWII RED CROSS MAN’S HEWER.

Superb condition Red Cross hewer, absolutely mint blade with its correct saw back edge and screwdriver tip, all cross grain finish remaining to the blade, the only visible markings to the blade are the German patents pending of Gesch Geschutz, the Red Cross hewer blades are only maker marked underneath the grips either Robert Klass or PD Lunchloss, to reveal the maker the grips have to be unscrewed, leather washer complete, all of the white metal finish remaining to the upper grip area, these are very prone to corrosion this has none. Unusually unit marked to the rear oval langet Weimar 202 ,it is highly unusual to find any Red Cross Hewers that are unit marked. In its correct scabbard which retains virtually all its original paint finish, its mint condition maker marked and dated 1940 leather frog and blue and silver portapee knot.
