GERMAN WWII HITLER YOUTH/SCHUTZE POLIZEI DOUBLE SIDED FLAG.

A highly interesting lance pennant style flag, 56 x 106cms. At first glance it could be assumed that this is a Hitler Youth pennant but we firmly believe it to be a pennant of a Police unit or possibly a Police Youth Movement, based on the shape of the swastika to the reverse side. This beautifully constructed multi coloured pennant in black, white, yellow, red, grey and blue with the face side having the large cut out panel with black embroidered edges of the eagle of the Schutze Polizei. The central eagle is carrying a grey sword in one talon with the lightning bolts in red in the other talon. Gott Mit Uns scroll above the head of the eagle. To the reverse side the pennant is halved in red and blue with central laid on black swastika on a white field, which is further laid on to the halved panel. Overall the pennant is in excellent condition with slight surface staining, no moth or damage, complete with its suspension hooks. Further research could reveal a very interesting sub organisation of the German Police.
